Helping Survivors
Helping Survivor’s mission is to help heal, educate, and empower people who have been impacted by sexual assault and abuse.
We understand that each survivor’s experience and needs are different and work alongside each individual to help guide them towards the available options. Whether a survivor has experienced sexual assault, sexual harassment, domestic violence, or any other form of gender-based violence, we are here to help.
Helping Survivors is committed to educating and informing survivors of sexual assault and abuse with timely, accurate and relevant information about their legal, financial, and healthcare options.
Our goals include helping survivors know their rights and options, how to best pursue each option, the available resources both in the short and long-term to help them on their healing journey, and help them pursue justice should they choose to.

Nicky Otto Dietetics
Nicky Otto Dietetics is an independent nutritional counselling service providing virtually nutritional counselling services to residents of Ontario, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and New Brunswick.
I help individuals in my community and beyond improve their nutritional health, move past disordered eating, chronic dieting, rebuild a better relationship with food and build their recovery from eating disorders. I take a weight-inclusive, HAES and anti-diet approach to my nutritional counselling. I take a deep dive into health and help you implement health behaviours that add to your quality of life instead of diminish. I do not counsel for weight loss or dieting.
I love to educate and help others navigate the seemingly complex nature of human nutrition. I believe in the power of momentum, consistency and being a little bit better everyday. I can help you challenge your unhelpful thinking when it comes to food and your body. I can help you find food freedom, find the joy in eating and cooking again and I will be your ally as you untangle your relationship with food.
We start with taking action- even when it feels hard. We learn from our experiences and we build for a different tomorrow.
